Are you perplexed by trying to figure out what causes scalp dandruff?

So, you are trying to find out what causes dandruff? We have found more than on thing that could potentially cause Danduff. One of the things that can cause the annoying dandruff ailment is having very active producing oil glands. Worrying is another thing that can cause the annoying dandruff ailment. While searching online, we also discovered that heavy perspiration and even harsh shampoos can cause dandruff… unfortunately for the latter I have not been able to find any more info. to lend proof this.

Various and widespread are the reasons which have been given over the years regarding the potential reason of the dandruff ailment Alot of the myths that have been spread about dandruff are untrue. Dandruff is a problem in the united states and all over the world. The various reasons for dandruff are about as varied as the rumors themselves.

The Dandruff problem is caused because of a very small and tiny little fungus. This microscopic fungus organism is known as pityrosporum-ovle… I wish I knew how to pronounce that (LOL). This fungus is in really low quantities on normal healthy scalps. Whenever a person has Dandruff irritation there is a very large amount of pityrosporum-ovle in the scalp area. The organism feeds on the oily substance that is secreted by your hair follicles. This causes an botheration in the infected scalp area which in turn leads to a quicker cell turnover. This causes itching dandruff.

Tanning beds were brought to North America by German scientist Friedrich Wolff in 1978 and rose to popularity in the mid-1980s. Since then, tanning beds have been a common way to tan without having to spend hours and hours in the sun’s unpredictable radiation.

Make no mistake: the ultraviolet light used in tanning beds is almost exactly the same kind of ultraviolet light that comes from the sun, and therefore comes with the same risks. But if you understand how tanning beds work and how to use them without abusing them, tanning beds can be a great way to get that perfect olive or bronze hue you’ve been yearning for.

All conventional tanning beds have lamps that produce ultraviolet radiation – both UVB and UVA rays. The UVB rays are accountable for stimulating production of the naturally occurring skin pigment melanin. However, minor overexposure to UVB rays causes burn, while major overexposure is linked to skin cancers. The UVA rays are the ones that oxidize the melanin, producing the golden brown color. The UVA rays account for the majority of rays originating in the lamps or bulbs in a tanning bed.

If you are using a conventional bed, first develop a base tan by tanning for twenty to thirty minutes, three to five times a week, for about four weeks. Then, maintain the tan by tanning two to three times a week thereafter.

High-pressure tanning beds are different, in that they utilize only UVA rays and no UVB rays. The term “high-pressure” refers to the atmosphere inside the lamps or bulbs, which are made out of quartz. The higher air pressure is what allows the lamp or bulb to filter out virtually all UVB rays - the rays that produce burn. The result is a faster, deeper, longer-lasting tan.

If you are using a high-pressure tanning bed, develop a base tan by tanning for ten to twelve minutes, three to five times total, over a matter of ten to fourteen days. Maintain the tan with only two or three visits per month.

Use a tanning bed lotion or “tan accelerator” to increase tanning speed and quality. Apply tan accelerator all over your body before and after your tanning session, since melanin oxidization and production continues long after you’ve been exposed to UV light. This will keep your skin cool, comfortable, moisturized, and just generally healthier.

Always wear tanning goggles while inside the tanning bed. Simply closing your eyes or wearing regular sunglasses is not enough protection from UV light.

What is the aspirin mask? The aspirin mask is a homemade BHA mask available to each and everyone of us, totally inexpensive and highly efficient, made of salicylic acid or tablets of aspirin. BHA is known to help tremendously with cleaning pores from deep inside and therefore contribute to keeping our skin blemish-free. BHAs are efficient on existing blemishes as well, by helping them heal faster and keeping pores clean afterwards.

Indications: all skin types, especially normal to oily and combination skin, acne-prone and clogged skin.

Basic preparation: 1/4 tsp. salicylic acid (ask for it at pharmacy, if you cannot find it, then crush 3-5 tablets of plain aspirin instead), distilled water. Mix the powder with the water until it becomes of a creamy consistence, apply on clean dry skin (focus on T-zone and sides of the nose). Keep it on until completely dry. Take a small cotton pad, wet it lightly and begin scrubbing the areas covered with the mask, making small circles. Finally, rinse with plenty of water. It would be excellent to apply a calming mask or a hydrating mask first, followed by your regular moisturizer. Skin will be left completely smooth and even.

There are practically unlimited versions of this mask. You can add yoghurt for an astringent effect, aloe vera, honey. You can also make the mask using a basic moisturizer mixed with salicylic acid instead of water, as it will be less harsh on the skin and will be more easy to use. Another option is to mix salicylic acid / crushed aspirin into a mask: into a clay mask, a hydrating mask or a soothing mask. My personal favourite is aloe vera mask with a hint of salicylic acid - application is much better, skin is less irritated and dried compared to aspirin with water, the feeling left after this mask is absolutely unique so smooth and clean!

If you use powdered salicylic acid, it is advisable to limit the quantity to 1/4 tsp. for the whole face, too much will burn the skin. If using aspirin tablets, you will probably need somewhere between 3 and 10 tablets depending on the area where you apply it.

Do not apply it near to eye zone, as it would be extremely drying and irritating for the sensitive skin there.

Refrain yourself from over-using it. For very oily skin and for severe blemishes, every 3 days would be more than enough in order not to stress the skin and obtain maximum efficiency. Other skin types should use it once a week or twice a month (dry to very dry, sensitive skin).

Many people turn to hair extensions to change their looks and, in turn, to change their lives. This makes for big business for cosmetologists trained in hair extension application. Unfortunately, hair extensions can be expensive. Retail prices of hair extensions make them cost-prohibitive for most salons and hairdressers. Luckily, wholesale hair extensions are available for professional hairdressers. The following is a partial list of companies offering hair extensions and supplies at wholesale prices.

Sexy Hair Extensions

Sells wholesale supplies and extensions to hairdressers. For example, they sell pre-bonded 14- or 18-inch extensions in bundles of 100 strands for $147.

Roman Hair

Offers 100-percent Remy Indian hair extensions. They offer wholesale hair extensions to resellers and salons.

Hairpiece

This site offers a large variety of hair extension products, such as synthetic hair, extension kits, tubing, clip-ons, wefts, and fusion equipment. To qualify for their wholesale pricing, you must fill out a resale registration form, available on their website. The first order must be at least $2,000 to qualify for discounts.

Hair Replacement Centers

Hair Replacement Centers helps people with hair loss or balding. However, they offer an assortment of European hair extensions from such vendors as Jose Eber, Raquel Welch, Ren of Paris, Revlon, Look of Love, Flawless, and Graffiti. They offer discounts on orders of over 10 sets. They also offer a business opportunity for people interested in opening a Hair Replacement Center. Additionally, they give a discount of 70-percent for Internet orders.

For other wholesale hair extensions, you can check industry books. Hairdresser or cosmetologist trade magazines offer ads for hair extensions. You can also do a search on a search engine for “wholesale hair extensions.” Many of these companies will require proof that you are a professional hairdresser, while some are willing to extend wholesale prices to the public with a minimum purchase.

Okay, I admit it. It’s only now that I learned about the presence of teeth whitening treatments in the market. Before this very minute, I used to be one of the unfortunate millions who regretted the fact that once born with yellow teeth – or acquired – you’re forever doomed with it. So you can just imagine my joy when I found out that there’s actually such a thing called teeth whitening. And it actually works!

If you’re wondering what’s so bad about yellow teeth then look at the mirror once more and tell me straight – what’s so nice about it? Between yellow and white, why not go for the shiny kind of teeth? Why continue to suffer with yellow teeth when teeth whitening treatments can turn that into something that could rival Snowhite’s skin?

The advantages to going for a teeth whitening treatment are endless. Let’s talk about looks. Whether you like it or not, having good looks matter in this world. It can open up doors that were previously shut close to you. And having shiny white teeth is part of being good-looking. No matter that you have just about the best facial structure since Audrey Hepburn and you’re blessed with a Barbie like figure, with yellow teeth, you’re still not considered beautiful.

Besides looks, there are also career advantages you could enjoy when you go for a teeth whitening treatment. Employers are always on the lookout for decent looking employees who could be presented as models to look up to. White teeth is often taken as a sign of responsibility because taking good care of one’s teeth is quite a hard – and often underestimated and undervalued – task and it’s also seen as an indication of someone free from vices, nicotine in particular.

If you’re inclined to say yes now to teeth whitening treatments, here are the options available to you.

Professional Teeth Whitening Treatments – When I say professional, this means letting the dentist take over the teeth whitening treatment from point A to Z. This may also mean regular visits to the clinic until you achieve the proper whitening tone for your teeth. The effects of professional teeth whitening treatments are better than do it yourself treatments but they’re also more expensive.

Do It Yourself Teeth Whitening Treatments – as you can already draw from the name itself, it’s something that you can accomplish all by yourself. The effects may vary, depending on your ability to follow the instructions to the letter and on the amount of whitening solution used in the treatment. Less expensive than a professional treatment.

Hair extensions can be added to your own natural hair to add length, volume, and body. They can also be an easy, non-chemical way to add highlights or lowlights. Hair extensions can be a one-night change or one that lasts six months.

How much do hair extensions cost? The price can vary widely, depending on type of hair and method used. Synthetic hair costs much less than human hair. Raw or virgin (untreated) human hair costs more than other types of human hair. For now, though, we will focus on hair extension prices for different methods.

Clip-Ons

Clip-on hair extensions are a temporary solution, and their price reflects that. Hair Replacement Centers offer clip-ons from $19.50 to $269 for a kit.

Hot Fusion or Bonding

In this method, extensions are hot glued to your natural hair. This is the traditional method, and it costs around $300.

Cold Fusion

This is a new technology that is meant to be gentle on the hair. It costs from $1,500 to $3,500.

Weave

In this method, hair extensions are braided into the natural hair. This method costs around $1,200.

There are salons that offer hair extension prices much less than these listed. Before buying discount hair extensions, however, make sure that the hairdresser is qualified. He or she should be a licensed cosmetologist with experience in applying hair extensions. Many hair extension companies offer certifications in hair extension application. Find out if your hairdresser is certified. Do not choose a hairdresser based solely on price — the cost to your hair could be too great.

Thermage Treatment – a non surgical skin tightening procedure

The Thermage procedure provides a non surgical face lift option for individuals seeking a way to firm and tighten aging or damaged skin. Thermage utilizes a radiofrequency device to stimulate collagen and remove fine lines and wrinkles and bring about a more youthful facial appearance.

Length and details of a Thermage treatment procedure

During the Thermage procedure the top layers of the skin are protected with a cooling spray while the Thermocool-wand heats the skin’s collagen with radiofrequency energy. The heat component acts upon the skins lower layers which in turn causes the skin to immediately tighten.

The Thermage procedure is an outpatient procedure that typically takes 15 minutes to an hour based on the extent of the area being treated. The sensations felt during the Thermage procedure is often described as a short, deep heating sensation. To ensure comfort and protect the skin the Thermage procedure continually utilizes a cooling spray throughout the entire procedure.

Thermage procedure recovery time

Individuals undergoing the Thermage Procedure are able to resume their regular activities immediately following the procedure. Some individuals may encounter mild redness resembling that of sunburn following the procedure. This is temporary and usually disappears quickly.

Potential Thermage procedure side effects

With the Thermage procedure is in use world-wide and has amassed an exceptional safety record. With an estimated 70,000 + treatments, the reported occurrence of side effects is less than 1%. Of the reported side effects, swelling, redness, bumps and blisters accounted for the majority of temporary issues. The duration of these side effects typically vanished in a 3 to 10 days.

Are Thermage treatment results long-lasting?

Individuals receiving the Thermage procedure may continue to see improvements for several months after a single treatment. Depending on the individuals aging process the collagen changes resulting from a Thermage procedure can last several years. The results of the Thermage procedure typically last two or more years.

How much will procedures like Thermage cost?

The price of a Thermage procedure will depend on your individual needs. It will also vary cost based on your geographic location. Costs for a Thermage treatment procedure typically average from $1,000 to $5,000 depending on the size and duration of treatment.

Will my insurance cover a Thermage facial treatment?

Because a Thermage procedure is considered an elective procedure, insurance usually will not cover the operation.

Hair extensions can be attached to your head in many different ways, including gluing, tubing, sewing, and clipping on. Different methods have different advantages. The method you choose will depend on many factors: your hair, your lifestyle, your budget, and your needs, for starters. If you are looking for a long-lasting, natural-looking hair extension, though, consider one of the fusion methods.

Fusion is generally the preferred method as fused hair extensions can last up to three to six months with skilled application and proper care. With fusion hair extensions, the extensions should be indistinguishable from your natural hair. If properly applied, the attachment site should be virtually invisible.

Fusion hair extensions can be applied in different ways: hot or cold fusion. Hot fusion or bonding uses hot glue to attach extensions to your hair. This is the more traditional method. While it does have many happy followers, others say that the glue causes the extensions to feel stiff and unnatural. These extensions can last up to 4 months.

Cold fusion is a new method, and is meant to be gentle for the hair. This method uses a keratin-based polymer to attach extensions to the root. As this method uses no heat, it is good for fine or thin hair. The polymer offers more flexibility than hot-glue, and results in more natural-feeling hair. For cold fusion hair extensions, many hairdressers use SoCap extensions and a clear bond. These extensions can last up to six months.

Fusion hair extensions are more expensive than other methods. If you want long-lasting, natural-looking luscious hair, they just might be the extensions for you.

Most of us choose a haircut because it looks hot on someone else – usually a celebrity who can afford to have his or her hair done every day, or a model who spends hours getting it just right. Rarely do we understand the anatomy dynamics of a hair style, and too few people who cut hair professionally know the art and science of how to frame the face with hair in a flattering way, based on individual face shape and bone structure. But the more you pay attention to the way the hair works with the rest of your head, the better your cut will look.

Think about the last time you picked out a hat to buy, or a pair of sunglasses. You probably tried on lots of styles and colors until one of them clicked. You may not know why it looked right, but you just had an intuition or a feeling that it was the best for you. Haircuts should be chosen the same way. Problem is, we can’t try them on and off like we do cheap sunglasses or caps. But we can learn a few basics about anatomy and the visual effects of hair around the face, to help you decide.

Here are five tips to help you get started on the path of looking at your haircut as part of your greater physical appearance and unique identity, instead of an off-the-shelf item you pick out because it fits somebody else.

1) Ears – in or out?

If you like your ears, then show the world. But if you have ears that you think stick out too much, don’t accentuate the look by having a close cut. Tell your stylist to leave your hair thick behind the ears, down toward the level of the jaw line or earlobe. This will create the illusion that your ears are closer to your head. If you have shorter hair, but you keep it sufficiently thick, you can just comb it back behind the ears (so it wraps around the way the ends of eyeglasses do) and suddenly your ears look perfect.

2) Does long hair shorten your neck? Hide your pretty face?

Long hair is feminine and fabulous, but if you have long hair, you also have tons of sexy options. You can cut it in layers around your face, to frame your face with playful curls or waves. Or you can cut it at various lengths all over, to add texture and depth.

By cutting long hair in such a way that it no longer hangs around your face like a veil, you can often accentuate your face more. Cut layers and you can boost the volume - add some contrasting low or high lights and you can pump up the texture.

Sometimes, depending on your body shape and size, covering the neckline with hair can make you look shorter and can make your neck look compressed (like a football player). To get the opposite look, experiment with leaving hair away from the sides of your face, so that it doesn’t cover and hide your jaw line, cheeks, and neck. This can flatter the face, and if you are blessed with a lovely neck, this kind of cut makes you look taller and more elegant.

3) Men and balding:

Lots of men go to great lengths (no pun intended) to fight the fact that their natural allotment of hair doesn’t cover the entire real estate of their head. But some have figured out that shaving it all off is a simple way to win the receding hairline game. Shave it off for a youthful and masculine look, if you like the shape of your head and can handle parting with those few strands that are holding on for dear life. Many guys are doing it themselves and keeping it cue ball slick by using the new kinds of “headblade” razors that fit over your finger like a ring and are more comfortable for shaving the head.

4) Bangs can add a sharp look to a high forehead.

If you have a high waist, then you probably buy jeans that are cut and designed to make your figure look better. If you have a high forehead, why not do the same thing? Straight-across bangs that fall down over the eyebrows are not only sexy, they can help you change the way your face looks and give it a more angular appearance.

5) Color: It’s not just hair color.

One inside secret that the best colorists know is that the color of your hair can help to determine the color of your skin. Yeah, we all know that it’s popular to go dark for winter and then beach blonde for summer, but the trend has purpose. If you have very fair skin, and you choose a very light hair color – light blonde for instance – it can make your whole face look washed-out and pale (too much light on light going on). If you add a little contrast, it not only frames your face nicely; it can add color when you are waiting for summer to arrive. When the tropical skin tone returns, you can go as light as you want, for the same contrasting effect.

Discuss how cuts will shape your face with your stylist – they will appreciate the fact that you have some insight into how it all works. Then pick a cut that flatters your face, and don’t forget to smile while the world tries to figure out “what is it about her new haircut that looks so fantastic?”

We all need a change every now and then. From our clothes to the music we listen to, a little bit of variety is great sometimes. So, why should we have the same hairstyle day in and day out? With hair extensions, we can look and feel like a new person — any time we want to.

Regular hair extensions must be weaved, braided, sewed, or glued — that’s more of a commitment than some people are willing to make. What’s more, it can be quite expensive. If you want a little hair variety without the time or financial commitment, consider a clip-on hair extension.

Clip-on hair extensions are a temporary way to change your look, either for fun and style or as a test drive for “real” hair extensions. Some clip-on hair extensions are small sections of hair attached to metal clips, much like barrettes. This type of clip-on hair extension is not meant to be used alone and you will need at least three or four of them. You simply clip the extension wherever you need added volume or body. Then the hair can be styled as usual. These hair extensions can be either synthetic or natural.

Another type of clip-on hair extension is already pre-styled and used as created. A popular style for this type is the ponytail. These extensions are widely available at department stores, beauty supply stores and some grocery stores. They are generally synthetic and low-cost with a short lifespan.

Though experts say the clip-on hair extensions are easy to work with, you can have a hairdresser apply them if you prefer.
